Before considering sideburn waxing, agree which hair should remain and ask whether the service is available and appropriate for the area you mean. Use your natural outline and everyday hairstyle to explain the boundary. A mirror discussion can clarify a preference; it cannot guarantee an outcome or establish individual skin suitability.
Show the outline you want to keep
Consider how the area looks with your hair tucked back, tied up or worn around the face. Point out the temple or hairline strands you want preserved, as well as any hair you are considering removing.
You can use a personal photograph or a note if helpful, but you do not need to copy a face-shape template or another person’s sideburn line. Your aim is to explain your preference, not prove that one hairline is correct.
Ask whether the exact request can be accommodated
Luté’s public menu lists upper lip waxing at K55, chin waxing at K100 and neck waxing at K100. A standalone sideburn-waxing price or a hairline-mapping service is not established by those entries. Ask the studio about your specific request before treating it as a bookable option. 11 12
Ask which area would be covered, what would be left alone, what product would be proposed and what the price would be. If the service is unavailable or a boundary remains unclear, do not assume a different facial-waxing item is an equivalent substitute.
Discuss relevant products and preparation
AAD’s facial-waxing guidance includes a precaution about retinol and prescription retinoids in the days before waxing. Ask your prescriber before changing prescribed treatment. A cosmetic appointment is not a reason to stop medication on your own. 1
AAD also gives a general hair-length range of about a quarter to three-quarters of an inch and advises gentle washing followed by thorough drying. Ask how preparation applies to the actual area; do not trim hairline strands you want to retain simply to match a general waxing range. 1 2
Mention previous reactions, sunburn or unusual sensitivity before deciding on a treatment. A preparation checklist is not a clearance for waxing every part of the face.
Confirm the boundary before application
Ask to see the proposed outline in a mirror before treatment begins. Explain whether the left and right sides have different preferences. If you cannot see or understand what would be removed, ask for clarification rather than assuming the practitioner has inferred your intention.
Agree how to request a pause if the proposed area changes or you feel uncomfortable. Ask for the appropriate aftercare if treatment proceeds. AAD’s general advice includes cold packs for pain, avoiding hot baths and showers, and a moisturiser labelled oil-free or non-comedogenic. 4
